The GCYLP Generation Connect Young Leadership Program 2025 is a global initiative designed to equip young digital innovators with the skills, mentorship, and financial resources needed to drive digital transformation within their communities. Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with Huawei, this program provides an opportunity for emerging leaders to create impactful digital projects aimed at fostering inclusivity and technological empowerment.
Each year, 30 young fellows are selected to receive comprehensive mentorship, training, and funding to implement their digital development projects while, the program fosters creativity, innovation, and leadership, allowing young changemakers to bridge the digital divide and enhance technological access worldwide.

Requirements for Generation Connect Young Leadership Program
To be eligible for the GCYLP 2025, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 28 years old by the application deadline.
- Have a strong interest in digital development and creating a social impact through technology.
- Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a tertiary education institution in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or a STEM-related field.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and the ability to develop and implement a digital transformation project.
- Be proficient in English, as all training, networking, and events will be conducted in English.
Location
The program includes both virtual training and an in-person global training week in Geneva, Switzerland in July 2025.
