Eligibility Requirements
International students must meet the following criteria:
General Eligibility
- Applicants must hold foreign citizenship.
- Neither parent should be a Korean citizen.
- Korean-origin applicants must have completed all primary and secondary education outside South Korea.
- Applicants with Korean citizenship (including dual nationality) are not eligible under the international admissions category.
Academic Requirements
- Students must maintain a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.3 after their first year at KAIST.
Language Proficiency
- English proficiency tests (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.) are recommended but not mandatory.
- Applicants without test scores can still apply without any disadvantage.
